Overview
A non-toxic rust converter based on a synthetic resin. It dries on new or rusted surfaces and chemically converts these surfaces to a black non-tacky layer in 30 minutes under normal conditions, forming an iron/iron oxide organic complex which gives complete protection for the treated surface.
- Can be apply on unpainted or rusted steel or metal surfaces.
- Suitable for steel, iron, galvanized steel and aluminums.
- Application areas include iron railings, factory steel structures, steel water tanks, gates, grilles, refrigerators, washing machines, cars, lorries, bicycles, motorcycles and etc.
Application
Ensure all surfaces to be treated will have to be degreased and wire-brushed to remove loose particles and dust. Surfaces must be clean, dry and sound. Being water-based, PYE RUST-CONVERTER is tolerant to damp surfaces.
Application
PYE RUST-CONVERTER is supplied ready-to-use and requires no mixing. Stir well before applying.
New Metal Surfaces: Use as a protective undercoat prior to painting over with gloss paint or other coatings.
Rusted Surface: Use two coats, depending on rust density. It can be left in its black finish or painted over.
Cleaning of Equipment
Clean all tools and application equipment with clean water immediately after use.
